Dr. Sean Boulware
Dr. Sean Boulware
is a sought-after conductor, adjudicator, clinician, and vocalist throughout the United States and Europe. He is in demand as a consultant for choral organizations in the areas of church choral music, chorus management, audience development, and technology implementation. Sean has prepared choruses for conductors including, John Alexander, Seiji Ozawa, Gerald Wird, Keith Lockhart and John Rutter. He has also prepared choirs to sing with Josh Groban, Michael McDonald, Tommy Simms, John Wineglass, and Keith and Kristyn Getty. In 2012, Sean conducted the Monterey Peninsula Choral Society at the Summer Olympics in London, England.
As a vocalist, Sean has appeared with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony, Los Angeles Renaissance Consort and others. He has toured nationally with productions of Les Misérables and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He also enjoys directing and performing in local theater productions.
Currently, Sean conducts and teaches over 300 singers on the Central Coast of California. Sean conducts choirs and orchestras regularly at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. He last returned to Carnegie Hall in 2015 to conduct “Easter at Carnegie Hall” with Monterey Peninsula Voices, Pacific Voices and The New England Symphonic Ensemble. Internationally, Sean has conducted choirs and seminars in Italy, England, Scotland, Ireland, Austria, The Netherlands, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Greece, Brazil, and Japan. Sean’s choirs can be heard on iTunes and CDbaby.com. He was honored by American Idol as the conductor for the most requested/downloaded Classical Group.

Sean is currently the Conductor of the Monterey Peninsula Voices, Aria Women’s Choir, The California Central Coast Chorale, Compass Church Salinas Traditional Choir, and Pacific Voices in Santa Cruz. He also teaches choral music and theater at Pacific Grove High School and Middle School. He lives in Pacific Grove, CA with his wife, Michelle, and their two sons, Isaiah and Dakota. He has studied with such notable conductors as Dr. Lynn Bielefelt, Dr. Joseph Flummerfelt, James Levine, Dr. James Jordan, Rodney Eichenberger, John Alexander, Paul Mayo and Shirley Nute.
